Eaton Unveils Power Xpert 9395 High Performance UPS in 400/415V UL-Listed Models

Sept. 18, 2016 … Power management company Eaton today announced that it has expanded its Power Xpert™ 9395 high performance uninterruptible power system (UPS) line with a new 400/415-Volt (V) UL-listed model currently available in 675-1100 kilowatt (kW)/kilovolt-ampere (kVA) ratings. The new UPS continues the innovation of the 9395 high performance line by offering users industry leading-efficiency and a scalable platform that can help reduce the total cost of ownership (TCO) of their critical information technology (IT) infrastructures.

Today’s data center and IT professionals, including those working with 400/415V applications, are continually looking to reduce operating costs and increase efficiencies within data center environments. Eaton’s newest 9395 high performance UPS offers Eaton’s flagship efficiency and reliability, helping these organizations lower costs while reducing the risk of equipment downtime. The 400/415V configuration offers a space-saving alternative to conventional power distribution in the data centers. Delivering clean power directly to the IT rack at 230V without the need for an inefficient transformer for voltage transformation, the platform helps customers maximize efficiency, cost savings and valuable data center floor space.

Eaton’s 9395 high performance UPS 400/415V model offers the following benefits:

  • Provides 99 percent efficiency across most loads with Eaton’s innovative Energy Saver System (ESS)
  • Offers double-conversion efficiency of more than 96 percent and no less than 95 percent efficiency at loads down to 15 percent with the Variable Module Management System (VMMS)
  • Features inherent redundancy designed to share the load when power capacity is below 50-75 percent for enhanced reliability

“We continue to build on the innovation of our 9395 high performance UPS line and provide solutions that address the broadest possible range of customer applications,” said Katheron Garcia, product manager, Eaton. “The industry-leading efficiency and reliability of our new 400/415V model will provide data center and IT professionals working in 400/415V environments with a UPS that addresses their needs while helping them reduce operating costs and overall TCO.”
