Eaton Showcases Integrated Power Management Solutions in a Unique Way at Dell EMC World

October 18, 2016 … Eaton today announced its participation at Dell EMC World 2016, the global information technology (IT) conference, taking place October 18 ‒ 22 in Austin, Texas. At the event Eaton will, in a highly unique way, showcase EMC-validated power management solutions designed to help IT managers and data center operators organize, protect and manage a broad range of applications. At kiosk #G2, Eaton will invite attendees to embrace their inner king or queen and be among the first to sit on the Eaton ePDU G3 throne, comprised of Eaton’s industry-leading power distribution units (PDUs). In a unique homage to one of television’s most popular shows, HBO’s Game of Thrones, the Eaton ePDU throne features 35 Eaton distribution units (PDU) units and 821 output receptacles. By posting a photo of themselves sitting on the throne to Twitter with the hashtag #EatonGetsIT, visitors will be entered into a random drawing for the chance to win a Yeti Hopper Cooler.

Additionally, Eaton will ask attendees to pledge their allegiance to one of its eleven houses while giving away devil ducks and paper crowns at its kiosk. Eaton is also participating in the passport for prizes program where it has donated a GoPro camera as one of the raffle items.

Eaton’s PDU offering, highlighted by its award-winning ePDU G3 platform, is a key component in its integrated power managements solutions portfolio. Combining PDUs with enclosures and uninterruptible power systems (UPSs), Eaton’s innovative power management platform enhances business continuity for converged and hyper-converged infrastructure options from EMC, an Eaton alliance partner, providing a powerful solution rolled into one simple, integrated infrastructure to help users reduce risk and lower costs.

Eaton’s EMC-validated power management solutions are bolstered by its Intelligent Power Manager software, which enables IT managers to monitor and manage power devices in their physical or virtual environment. As an EMC Technology Connect Partner, Eaton provides robust power protection that integrates fully with converged infrastructure offerings. Additionally, Eaton’s seamless interoperability with VMware and Microsoft hypervisors in environments with Vblock Systems, VSPEX reference architectures and VxRail Appliances allows IT managers to manage their power infrastructure through virtualization tools, maintain business continuity through disaster recovery initiation and load-shedding capabilities and protect their IT investment from power anomalies and environmental threats. Dell EMC World 2016 gathers business leaders, technologists, developers and designers to share ideas, stories and best practices that will inspire innovation and help your organization be future-ready. Dell EMC World 2016 features premier keynotes, break-out sessions, engineer-led demonstrations and hands-on labs designed to give you the knowledge you need to maximize your IT investments and add value to your organization.
