Eaton to Discuss Smarter Ways of Managing Big Data within Healthcare Facilities at Health-ITExpo 2016
ESPOO, Finland…Eaton will discuss how power management technology is supporting the growth of big data within the healthcare industry at Health-ITExpo 2016, taking place during Paris Healthcare Week on 24-26 May. On Stand G30, the company will also highlight the vital role of power management in maintaining the resiliency of essential electrical systems that safeguard patients, visitors and staff.
“With nearly a third of the world’s data generated by healthcare industry, and data storage requirements within healthcare facilities quadrupling every three years1, the industry is facing an unprecedented set of challenges,” said Stephane Chanoit, healthcare segment manager at Eaton EMEA. “There is now a need for a discussion about smarter ways of managing big data within healthcare, including how scalable and efficient power management solutions, which align the needs of the data centre to the needs of the healthcare operation, are essential to meet ever-increasing demands.”
During Health-ITExpo, Eaton will present its recently launched supercapacitor technology that, when combined with an Eaton uninterruptible power supply (UPS), provides a convenient and affordable source of short-term back-up power for mission critical environments such as hospitals.
“Our complete back-up power range delivers a compelling alternative for short-term back-up requirements, helping deliver real business benefits for our customers,” said Stephane Chanoit. “The solution is very competitively priced when compared to flywheel-based solutions, which means lower capital expenditure for a given size of system. The extended lifespan and lower operating costs of the supercapacitors mean that they substantially reduce the total cost of ownership (TCO).”
On stand G30, Eaton will also showcase the company’s wider offering for healthcare IT applications, including power distribution units that provide optimised energy usage and, reduced operating costs, in addition to fire alarm and emergency lighting systems offering unrivalled reliability and safety.
Visitors will also have a chance to speak to experts from Eaton's Electrical Engineering Services and Systems team, who offer a comprehensive portfolio of services tailored for every stage of a power system’s life cycle, whether design, build or support.
