Dear Reader,
Eaton continues to demonstrate its strong commitment to focus on electrical business and especially on its uninterruptible power supply segment.
The recent acquisitions of MGE Office Protection Systems specializing in the small systems UPS business and the Taiwanese company Phoenixtec as well as the PDU producers Aphel and Pulizzi have significantly increased the size of Eaton’s power quality and controls business. In addition, the acquisition of German electrical components manufacturer, The Moeller Group, was completed on April 4, 2008. Together, these acquisitions solidify Eaton’s position as a leading global supplier of electrical power systems that will enable us to provide world-class control and power solutions that ensure customers a comprehensive power quality business.
Along with the wider product range that both the company and the customers now enjoy due to the recent acquisitions, Eaton also expanded its geographical reach substantially and is now able to serve its customers in more than 150 countries worldwide.
Because a satisfied customer is our main goal, we are also launching the Large Systems Group (LSG), which specialises in solutions for the largest data centres. The group will expand from the USA to the EMEA area this year and consolidate the best know-how with regard to the largest and most critical power supply applications both from the Eaton organisation and its partners. In particular, LSG serves the builders of mega-sized data centres.
These investments present tremendous opportunities for Eaton as a global leader providing electrical systems and components for power quality, distribution and control. The global sales, maintenance and support organisations are constantly growing and getting closer to our customers all around the world – now and in the future.
Best regards,
