(2.5 days in length)

A. Course Description

The course trains the customer on performing routine operations of the UPS and identifying alarm conditions. The course discusses fundamentals of operation and identification of critical system failures. Operation of the equipment is described in lecture/discussion sessions supplemented with hands-on sessions in our UPS laboratory. While power flow, UPS controls and alarm functions are discussed, course emphasis is on practical application. Morning lecture/discussion sessions are followed by afternoon application sessions in a training laboratory environment.

B. Course Objective

A student participating in the Eaton 9170+ course will practice the following:

  • Start up and operations of the UPS
  • Use of keypad
  • Troubleshooting alarm and inverter logs
  • Replacement of modules
