1st Responder Training (1.0-2.5 days)

The 1st Responder training course is designed to assist the customer in performing routine operation of the UPS and identifying alarm conditions. The course includes fundamentals of operation and identification of system failures. Power flow, UPS controls and alarm functions are also highlighted. Operation of the equipment is described in lecture/discussion sessions and reinforced in practical hands-on application.

The training programs are supported by comprehensive documentation. This documentation supplements the hands-on exercises and provides the trained technician a personal reference library.

This course is designed for the individual whose job requires them to operate the UPS and identify alarm conditions. To obtain the most benefit from the course, the prospective student should have a general knowledge of electrical/electronic theory. Knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Windows and Microsoft HyperTerminal are strongly recommended.

Factory Training

Our state-of-the-art training center, located at 4812 Hargrove Road in Raleigh, North Carolina, includes three (3) classrooms and a cutting-edge training lab with more than two million dollars in UPS, battery and power monitoring equipment. Training participants participate in both lecture and hands-on training activities from highly qualified instructors, who have a combined total of over ninety years’ experience in the technical training field.

On-Site Training

In addition to courses held at our training center, we can also provide training at your facility. Students receive the same quality training offered at our training center, but will have the opportunity to learn about the equipment they will be supporting. Class size is usually limited to 10 participants, and is scheduled based on availability.
