Benefits of Eaton's space saving 3-phase UPS solutions
The footprint of the UPS you select can vary widely by manufacturer – with most UPS models comprised of large, separate, non-integrated cabinetry with heavy internals. Not so with an Eaton UPS.
For example, see how the Eaton 9395 UPS stacks up against the competition:
But a footprint isn’t just about size alone – it also involves:
Weight
At $.30 per pound, the Eaton 9395 averages a cross-country freight savings of over $1200, while the Eaton 9390 saves over $630. With a transformerless design, Eaton meets or exceeds virtually all floor loading standards. And with this lower weight, the Eaton units can be moved without heavy capital equipment and can fit in most standard freight elevators.
Space Savings
At an average of $1500 per square foot, the Eaton 9395 amounts to a savings of more than $26,000 annually.

| Total Footprint: 35.2 ft2 |
Total Footprint: 16.7 ft2 |
| Total Weight: 7380 lb |
Total Weight: 2977 lb |
And with a footprint of 597 sq. in., the Eaton 9390 is a fraction of the 1281 sq. in. that the competition takes up. Additionally, the Eaton 9355 takes up only 3 to 6 square ft of floor space in the 10-40 kVA range – drastically smaller than the competition. With its manageable size, the Eaton 9395 fits through most doors with ease, and requires no dismantling to get it to its final installation location.
Retrofit Applications
The Eaton 9390 and 9395 are perfect for retrofit operations. When an existing UPS is exceeding capacity but has no room to expand, or when the service contract is expiring, the existing UPS can be removed and replaced with an Eaton UPS that that offers more power in less space.
Serviceability/Accessibility
Being a pre-wired, integrated module, the Eaton 9395 saves time and cost of installation and cabling expenses incurred with a larger, multi-module UPS. And with front access, the Eaton 9390 and 9395 can be placed in a corner or against a wall – easily available for service and saving valuable space.
Scalability
The Eaton 9395 features scalable, redundant architecture, meaning that the UPS can adapt to future changes in load demand and higher reliability requirements without the purchase of a costly additional modules or allocation of additional space. Additionally, the Eaton 9390 can have up to 6 modules run in parallel without a central bypass.
Electrical and Cooling Savings
The smaller, more efficient Eaton 9395 UPS costs
less to run and generates less heat – reducing cooling costs.
